Taking some stuff off my chest...
I hear it sometimes too, "that I can't take you seriously" or "I think its funny when you try to be deep." When I hear this it really irritates me. There has been instances when I tell people that I love being stuck in traffic, and all I hear is "what," and at the same be laughing. They ask me why and I tell them that at that time is where I really have a chance to listen to music and think about my life. Then they laugh again.
For those who don't laugh, they become interested and had asked me what I think about. I tell them that I think about my current position, any future goals, how I'm going to reach them, academic stuff, stuff I gotta do at home, or what bills I gotta pay, etc. And when they hear this most people become shocked and tell me that they can't see me being that type of person.
I felt that I had to post this because many people really don't take me seriously; and I need everyone to know that even though I like to play a lot and do say a lot of nonsense, I do get serious and when I do, I don't need people to make fun of me or laugh at me, thinking that I'm not being serious.

This Album Didn't Leave Me Heartbroken.haha
If you listen to hip hop then you know that one of the best current artists is Kanye West, whether you like it or not. Everytime he drops an album it helps solidify his place in hip hop history; and if you don't agree with me, then start your own blog and be a hater (haha). And with an album like this, that pushes the envelope, it helps expand hip hop's horizon, if you hear this album you will find out what I mean.Today I ended up buying Kanye West's new album, 808s and Heartbreak. Now I'm not gonna lie, at first I was skeptical about this album because he was using the voice changing machine and he did do a lot of singing. But since I am a huge Kanye fan, I said fuck it and bought it today.
I listened to the whole album twice and I want to let everyone know that this album is hella dope. The tracks I enjoyed the most were, "Heartless, Amazing, Love Lockdown, Street Lights, Bad News, See You in My Nightmares, and Coldest Winter." I don't really want to say much because I want everybody to listen to these tracks.
Kanye never stops amazing, this guy is so talented and he just makes hits. I hope that his next album he doesn't use the machine a lot but if he does then I won't be mad cuz this album made it clear that he's one of the few that can make this work, other than T-Pain and Lil Wayne. So go cop, Im out.

Always Number #1
So today I attended a class with the first year students. It was their English class and they were discussing about Tupac. When I first heard this I was like, "What the fuck! Why didn't I get a chance to talk about Tupac let alone write an essay about him." So this is what I would've wrote on him if I was in this class.
Tupac is my favorite rapper ever. What I like about Tupac is that he has so many different personalities. Many people say that he just raps about killing people or about money or fucking bitches. Now I ain't going to front and say that he didn't because he has rapped using those types of lyrics. But that wasn't the only thing he rapped about.
Perfect example would be the song "Changes," this song is really deep and touches a lot of subjects. Just this song talks about economic difficulties, racism, stereotypes, inner oppression, etc. One of my favorite lines in that song is, " I wake up in the morning and I ask myself/ is life worth living or should I blast myself," these two lines are so good that you can interpret them in so many ways.
Another song that shows a different side of Tupac is," So Many Tears." In this song you see a man who has gone through so many things. Also this song shows an emotional side of Tupac that many people don't notice. My favorite part of this song is where he raps, " Lord knows I... tried, been a witness to homicide/Seen drive-by's takin lives, little kids die/Wonder why as I walk by/Broken-hearted as I glance at the chalk line, gettin high/ This ain't the life for me, I wanna change/ But ain't no future right for me/I'm stuck in the game/ I'm trapped inside a maze." Just looking at these words you can see that Tupac wasn't into just rapping about money and girls.
I can give you so many examples on how Tupac was a very talented rapper and how he was a positive influence in so many other people. I feel like that other people don't really know what they are talking about when they diss Tupac in such a way. To me its like read the facts and do your research because he isn't the person where they showed him as just a criminal.
Alright, I'm done now. Just wanted give my thought out on this matter. Peace.

So the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series.....I aint mad at that. In a way I'm kind of glad that they won because the Rays beat the Red Sox and I was rooting for them. Also the Phillies manager, Charlie Manuel, mother had passed away during the playoffs and I think it's cool how it turned out for him. Winning the World Series takes a lot of patience. Think about it. The baseball season is 162 games long and then you got the playoffs, so it does take a while to even have a chance to play for the championship. Another reason I aint mad is that the best players for the Rays didn't show up and play. Before Game 5 Evan Longoria and BJ Upton went 0 for 16, so they weren't hitting. This season in my opinion was one of the best for me. The Red Sox attempted another comeback and the Yankees didn't even make the playoffs, which is awesome. Grant it that I would've love for the A's to at least make the playoffs but they are always in a rebuilding year so my hopes weren't up. Well this season is over and I can't wait until next season.
